"Si Se Puede"

On Thursday, March 26, 2009 CSU, Stanislaus hosted the 14th Annual Cesar E. Chavez Celebration. Cesar Chavez was born on March 31, 1927 in Yuma, Arizona. Chavez dedicated his life to improve the lives of farm workers. As a labor leader, and civil rights activist, he co-founded the National Farm Workers Association, which later became the United Farm Workers. His work led to numerous improvements for union laborers. Now, his birthday has become a holiday in 8 states.

The evening consisted of a number of entertaining events such as live music, balet folclorico, a silet auction and a stellar performance by... Teatro Los Hijos Del Campo. Teatro LHDC performed their new skit, Feo-Yiagra. Click on the link below to catch a glimpse of Teatro's appearance, as well as the rest of the celebration.
