Teatro LHDC was proud to have Charlie Trujillo, the award-winning author of Soldados: Chicanos in Viet Nam and the novel Dogs From Illusion visit CSU, Stanislaus on November 20, 2008 to talk about his war experience. Trujillo served in Vietnam as an infantry sergeant and was awarded the Purple Heart and a Bronze Star Medal. The event included a documentary by Mr. Trujillo, followed by a group discussion, in which the author shared some detailed memories, books, future projects, and answered questions.
